Jim Rubens is the author of OverSuccess: Healing the American Obsession with Wealth, Fame, Power, and Perfection (Greenleaf Press 2009).
His book has been favorably reviewed by Time magazine and other publications. Rubens has been interviewed on numerous radio and television programs including The Thom Hartmann Show/Air America, Something You Should Know with Mike Carruthers, and several NPR stations, including Virginia, Washington, DC, Maryland, Minnesota, Wisconsin, New Mexico, and New Hampshire.
Rubens has been a successful entrepreneur and is presently a venture capitalist. He is also a consultant for the Union of Concerned Scientists.
From 1994-1998 Rubens served as a New Hampshire State Senator and was Chairman of the Education Committee. He is a respected political analyst and his views on the recent Presidential primaries were featured in the Huffington Post.
Jim attended Dartmouth College (Class of ’72) and voluntarily withdrew during his junior year to join one of New England’s original agricultural communes.
He resides in Hanover, New Hampshire with his wife Susan and son Matthew.
